Hygiene Guidelines

GLSW is planning for full in person learning for the 2021-2022 year at Saint John's Academy. We will be following CDC and the Archdiocese guidelines. The measures call for Universal use of masks, physical distancing as well as handwashing and sanitizing the facilities.

Contact tracing will also be done if any school participants test positive for COVID-19.
We will adjust our policies as guidelines are updated. We recognize that last year was difficult for everyone and hope that a return to in person offerings will start to restore as sense of normality for all.

The measures call for universal use of masks and physical distances in all K-12 schools, as well as handwashing and sanitizing the facilities.

All students will be required to fill out a health questionnaire weekly and will have their temperature measured when arriving at school.

Social distancing guidelines must be followed. Everyone must stay and sit six feet apart at all times.

Masks must be worn. Everyone must wear face coverings at all times. If you do not have a mask, we will have some available (at a price), but encourage you to bring your own to reduce waste.

Low Contact Experience. To reduce contact with others, all classroom doors will be propped open.

Hand sanitizing stations will be available around the school. Everyone must use them before entering school and we encourage to use them throughout the day.

Cleaning. To ensure the safety of our students, classrooms, restrooms and all touch-points will be thoroughly sanitized.

*These guidelines follow the New Jersey state and St. John’s Academy requirements.
